A Course You’ve Plot –
Bite your tongue if it helps you, keep your head straight and focussed on the path you’ve chose and your direction that you won’t stray from. Each time we speak’s an intersection. Diverting from a course you’ve plot. Bury your head while I’ll just lose mine and ignore these thoughts, to get what you want. And you’ll tell yourself you’re fine. But we both know that’s not quite right. Hide your heart and put your faith in, a faithless fate of our own design. The steps you take don’t always have to be away from mine. And you’ll tell yourself you’re fine. But we both know that’s not quite right. Bite your tongue if it helps you, keep your head straight and your focussed on the path you’ve chose and your direction that you won’t stray from.

To The Waves –
The slow creaking of these worn wooden walls, strain and bend with every tiresome haul. Water's lashing, winds tearing at the shell of what used to be. This could be our last voyage. This could be our sails last squall. A storm too many, a sea too far. The troubles that we’ve always had. To take to the waves and let ships pass free from the worry that it might be the last. Like the oceans arms, fists crashing down. Tearing hull from hull, our captain drowns and no-one hears the wailing sound as our ships last breath.,

Decoys –
A fortress, made from letters and cards, Will hold us, like cold steel bars. You can’t stop the rain, just find some safety, And be reminded again. If I had the choice, I’d learn to, avoid, the decoys. In a safehouse of expired regards. We won’t feel, our sky falling hard. There’s a dust in the air, but don’t stop breathing and be reminded again.

This Barren Ground –
The crushing weight or poor choices made, on my back. A burden made by a runaway, dropped in my tracks, And when it fell it was broke to hell, pieces scattered around, I came back to look for them, amongst this barren ground. The years come and go but the days go slow, it matters now. I came back to look for them, in this barren ground. Ten minutes late for eternity, a clock face painted on the wall. The last shard lay where the crows gave way, lost amongst the rubble, From the wall built to keep the storms at bay, that has long since blown down. The last piece left of what was lost, now will never be found.he years come and go but the days go slow, it matters now. I came back to look for you, in this barren ground.

Lights –
A dancing black dress, spinning wine glass, a laughing dear friend, kills the lights. A playful nightcap, carefully careless, river of regrets, washed away. If you go outside, we’ll still share the same light, As we did. And not much has changed. I’ll apologise, and we’ll still tell the same lies, everyday. A panicked fast walk, toxic clarity. Start a fire, in your own room, escape through smokestacks and docile bodies, Wrestle in earnest with the garden gates. If you go outside, we’ll still share the same light, As we did. And not much has changed. I’ll apologise, and we’ll still tell the same lies, everyday.

I Still Stand Still –
And I forget, what was the plan? A slow lament for our every chance (that)I danced around and feared the change. Without moving, stayed exactly the same. What you said before, well you’ll say once more. These barriers are my own. And every word you said, will one day leave my head. Except, you’re going to die alone. And even now, a voice echoes. It’ll ask me how I’ll feel when you go. I’ll stand bolt still and say nothing. Without changing I’ll not achieve anything. And what you said before, well you’ll say once more. These barriers are my own. And every word you said, will one day leave my head. Except, you’re going to die alone. And I forget, what was the plan? A slow lament for our every chance.
